Carpenter (Formwork & Framing)
Skilled carpenters build the formwork that shapes bridge piers, core walls, and elevated decks, along with framing and blocking for interiors.
Current work in Atlanta includes high-rise offices and interstate interchanges.
What you'll do
- Read drawings and lay out forms to line and grade
- Build, set, and strip gang forms, column forms, and deck forms
- Install blocking, framing, and embeds
- Inspect forms before pours and correct deficiencies
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial carpentry or formwork
- Own basic hand tools
- Able to read construction drawings and use a tape and level accurately
- Able to work at height with fall protection
Nice to have
- OSHA 30 card
- Journeyman card or apprenticeship completion
- Experience with Doka, PERI, or EFCO systems
Pay details
- Hourly roles are non-exempt: overtime is paid at 1.5× the regular rate for hours over 40 in a workweek, and daily overtime applies where state law requires it (for example, California).
- Pay is weekly by direct deposit or pay card, with an itemized pay stub.
- All pay shown is an estimated range for the location, not a fixed rate. Your actual starting rate is confirmed in your written offer and depends on experience, certifications, and skills test results.
- On public works projects, prevailing wage (Davis-Bacon or state prevailing wage) applies and may be higher than the listed range.
- Travel crews receive per diem for meals and lodging when working more than 50 miles from their home base.

Working conditions
- Outdoor work in heat, cold, rain, and dust; seasonal heat-illness and cold-stress plans in place
- Frequent lifting of 50 lb (23 kg), standing, bending, and climbing ladders and scaffolds
- Work near heavy equipment and traffic; safety rules and PPE are mandatory
- Pre-employment drug screen and site safety orientation required
- Work at height on decks, steel, and scaffolds with 100% fall protection
- Must be comfortable working on elevated structures and over water where applicable
Permits, visa sponsorship & relocation
For eligible candidates, the company sponsors the following permits for this role:
- Work permit (H-2B temporary work visa)
Temporary work authorization for seasonal or peak-load construction work, usually up to one year and renewable up to three years.
- Residence permit (green card via EB-3)
Employer-sponsored lawful permanent residence for skilled and other workers. The spouse and children under 21 can be included. Processing can take a year or more, depending on country and visa bulletin dates.
If you live outside the USA, the company covers
- Accommodation covered by the company when you arrive, arranged near your jobsite
- Visa petition, legal, and government filing fees paid by the company
- Inbound travel to your U.S. jobsite paid or reimbursed by the company
- Airport pickup and help with onboarding, a bank account, and site orientation
Travel requirements
- A valid passport with at least 6 months' validity (international applicants)
- Ability to attend a U.S. consulate visa interview in your home country if selected
- Willingness to relocate to the listed U.S. city for the length of the assignment
- Pass a pre-employment medical check and drug screen after arrival
