Bridge / Structural Engineer
Field engineers design temporary works, review shop drawings, and solve structural issues on site with our superintendents.
Current work in Newark includes rail tunnel approaches and airport terminals.
What you'll do
- Design falsework, shoring, and erection schemes
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs
- Run field surveys, layout checks, and QA/QC documentation
- Coordinate with the engineer of record and DOT inspectors
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
- 3+ years of construction or structural engineering experience
- EIT/FE certification
Nice to have
- PE license
- Experience with segmental or steel girder bridges
Pay details
- All pay shown is an estimated range for the location, not a fixed rate. Your actual starting rate is confirmed in your written offer and depends on experience, certifications, and skills test results.
- On public works projects, prevailing wage (Davis-Bacon or state prevailing wage) applies and may be higher than the listed range.
- Travel crews receive per diem for meals and lodging when working more than 50 miles from their home base.
- Salaried role, paid bi-weekly by direct deposit.

Permits, visa sponsorship & relocation
For eligible candidates, the company sponsors the following permits for this role:
- Work permit (H-1B specialty occupation visa)
Work authorization for degree-level professional roles, initially up to three years and extendable to six. Subject to the annual H-1B lottery.
- Residence permit (green card via EB-3)
Employer-sponsored lawful permanent residence for skilled and other workers. The spouse and children under 21 can be included. Processing can take a year or more, depending on country and visa bulletin dates.
If you live outside the USA, the company covers
- Accommodation covered by the company when you arrive, arranged near your jobsite
- Visa petition, legal, and government filing fees paid by the company
- Inbound travel to your U.S. jobsite paid or reimbursed by the company
- Airport pickup and help with onboarding, a bank account, and site orientation
Travel requirements
- A valid passport with at least 6 months' validity (international applicants)
- Ability to attend a U.S. consulate visa interview in your home country if selected
- Willingness to relocate to the listed U.S. city for the length of the assignment
- Pass a pre-employment medical check and drug screen after arrival
